  1. Elections

    The Pitkin County Elections Department administers elections for municipal, special district, county, state and federal races according to federal and state statute, and Pitkin County's Home Rule Charter.

  2. Emergency Dispatch

    The Aspen-Pitkin County Communications Center is the 911 Public Safety Answering Point (PSAP) for many municipalities, Fire Districts, and Emergency Medical Service agencies in the Roaring Fork Valley.

  3. Emergency Management

    The purpose of the emergency manager is to support the Pitkin County Sheriff's responsibility as the county's designated emergency response agency in coordination with the public safety council, whose mission is to promote public safety and emergency response in our communities.

  4. Engineering / Road & Bridge

    The Transportation and Road and Bridge Department manages and maintains the structural and functional needs of county infrastructure, including roads, bridges, and drainage structures.

  5. Environmental Health

    The Environmental Health Department develops and collaborates on local, regional, state and federal initiatives to protect the community's environmental resources.

  6. Facilities Management

    Facilities Management provides building maintenance, repair, and contract support services to Pitkin County facilities.

  7. Finance

    The Finance Department is responsible for accounting and reporting. View budgets, comprehensive annul financial reports, the periodic financial report, and information about use tax.

  8. Fleet Services

    The Fleet Department manages and maintains the county vehicle / equipment fleet in a manner to provide safe, low cost, and appropriately designed equipment to user departments.

  9. GIS / Mapping

    The Pitkin County Geographical Information System (GIS) Department is responsible for the development and maintenance of the area’s spatial database and provides mapping, analysis and data export services to citizens, businesses and visitors.

  10. Human Services

    Health and Human Services departments work together advocating health and wellness and providing responsive programs for the benefit of our entire community.

  11. Healthy Rivers Board

    Access reports, studies and find our meeting schedule, along with much more information about the river and stream system within the state.

  12. Human Resources & Risk Management

    Human Resources provides a variety of employment services to Pitkin County departments and employees.

  13. Jail

    The Pitkin County Jail uses the direct supervision design for a more normalized Jail environment.
