Dates to Remember

January
Tax notices are mailed to property owner in mid-January. If you do not receive your notice by February 1st please contact the Treasurer's Office.

February
If paying property taxes in 2 equal installments, the 1st half of taxes must be postmarked no later than the last day in February.

April
The application for State of Colorado Senior Property Tax Deferral Program must be submitted to the Treasurer's Office on or before April 1st.

If paying property taxes in a single payment (not paid in installments) the full/whole amount must be postmarked no later than April 30th.

June
If paying property taxes in 2 equal installments, the 2nd half of taxes must be postmarked no later than June 15th. If the 15th falls on the weekend, then the following business day.

July
Delinquent Notices are sent to assessed owner if taxes are not paid.

September
Delinquent Mobile Home and Personal Property are advertised in The Aspen Times.

Please contact the Treasurer's Office for the last day for payment of delinquent Real Estate taxes to avoid publication in the Aspen Times.

October

Date of Annual Delinquent Tax Lien Sale is held on the 1st Thursday, unless November 1st is the 1st Thursday.
