Community Relations

The Community Relations department exists so everyone in our community and organization has the information they need when they need it.

Fall trees and Aspen Mountain

We do that by being a county-wide strategic communications partner and resource for improving communications to better serve our constituents and visitors to the county, as well as county employees. In all that it does, Community Relations incorporates the organization's values of stewardship, ethics, excellence, collaboration, open communication, positive work environment in its communications efforts and strategy.

Communication Tools

The tools we use to communicate are the Pitkin County Press newsletter, social media, the pitkincounty.com website, YouTube, newspaper, radio, media relations, press releases, public service announcements, blogs, and more. Information about the county is available each Monday in the Aspen Daily News, at the beginning of every month in the Crystal Valley Echo, monthly in the Pitkin County Minute on KSNO, and every other month in the Pitkin County Press newsletter. Follow Pitkin County Government on Facebook and Instagram and search Facebook to find other county departments.

Community Government Television

Watch government meetings on CGTV Channel 11, Community Government Television, which is operated by GrassRoots TV. Pitkin County Board of Commissioners work sessions and regular meetings as well as other county board meetings are available on CGTV and YouTube. Access live-streamed and archived county meetings on the county's YouTube channel.
