Facilities Management


Facilities Management works behind the scenes providing building maintenance, repair, and contract support services to Pitkin County facilities. This includes preventive maintenance, response to emergency repairs, and  unscheduled maintenance services. Facilities Maintenance  also handles custodial services and grounds keeping of the buildings.


This department is responsible for approximately 150,000 square feet of county property including the Courthouse, Courthouse Plaza, Jail, Library, Health and Human Services, Public Works and many others. Facility operations ensures county residents, and employees a safe, healthy, and functional business environment.
