Deadline for TABOR Notice pros/cons is September 22
ASPEN, COLO. (Sept. 12, 2023) - Local election officials are now collecting comments from the public detailing the pros and cons of five ballot tax issues in the Pitkin County Coordinated Election, Nov. 7. The comments collected from the public will be published in the TABOR (Taxpayer Bill of Rights) Notice and mailed to all voters 30 days before this November’s election.
“The Clerk and Recorder Office is required by the Colorado Constitution to publish a TABOR Notice for ballot tax issues,” said Pitkin County Clerk and Recorder, Ingrid K. Grueter. “Any elector registered in each of the districts who wishes to submit a pro or con statement regarding the five financial issues on this year’s ballot may submit their comments to the Designated Election Official of each district. The submitted comments will be included in the published TABOR Notice,” Grueter said.
Local tax issues on the November ballot come from the following four jurisdictions, and comments should be emailed to the designated election official (DEO) of each district as indicated below:
Only registered voters residing in the political subdivision and eligible to vote on the issues may submit comments on the issue, and comments must include a signature where the signer is registered to vote. The deadline for written comments for the TABOR Notice shall be filed by noon on Friday, Sept. 22. TABOR Notices will be mailed to all registered voters no later than Friday, Oct. 6.

Los pros y contras de los temas de la boleta ahora están siendo recolectados
La fecha límite para los pros/contras del Aviso TABOR es el 22 de septiembre
ASPEN, COLO. - Los funcionaros electorales locales están ahora recolectando comentarios del público que detallen los pros y contras de cinco asuntos fiscales en la Elección Coordinada del Condado de Pitkin, el 7 de noviembre. Los comentarios recolectados del público serán publicados en el Aviso TABOR (por sus siglas en inglés, Ley de Derechos del Contribuyente) y enviados por correo a todos los votantes 30 días antes de las elecciones de noviembre de este año.
“La Oficina de Secretaría y Registración está obligada por la Constitución de Colorado a publicar un Aviso TABOR para los asuntos fiscales en la boleta”, dijo Ingrid K. Grueter, secretaria y registradora del Condado de Pitkin. “Cualquier elector registrado en cada uno de los distritos que desee presentar una declaración a favor o en contra de los cinco asuntos financieros en la boleta de este año puede enviar sus comentarios al Funcionario Electoral Designado para cada distrito. Los comentarios enviados se incluirán en el Aviso TABOR publicado”, dijo Grueter.
Los asuntos fiscales locales en la boleta de noviembre provienen de las siguientes cuatro jurisdicciones, y los comentarios deben enviarse por correo electrónico al funcionario electoral designado (DEO, por sus siglas en inglés) de cada distrito según se indica a continuación:
Solo votantes registrados que residen en la subdivisión política y que son elegibles para votar en los asuntos pueden enviar comentarios sobre el asunto, los comentarios deben incluir una firma donde el firmante esté registrado para votar. La fecha límite para los comentarios por escrito para el Aviso TABOR será al mediodía del viernes 22 de septiembre. Los Avisos TABOR se enviarán por correo a todos los votantes registrados a más tardar el viernes 6 de octubre.
