Starting April 8th, 2019, The Pitkin County Detention Facility will not permit personal contact visits. Video visitation is provided during all non-lock down times including holidays. It is the inmate's responsibility to contact the visitor and inform them of their non-lock down times. Visitation can be conducted either over the internet by using the link below, or by using the locally provided kiosk in the detention facility. Video Visits are 20 minutes in duration. Visits are monitored for nudity and violations of safety and security rules. Detention staff reserve the right to terminate a visit for any violation and the inmate and visitor can be banned from using the video visitation system for a period of time. There will be a kiosk here in the jail lobby that will be available on a first come, first served basis. There is no cost to use this kiosk. You may also visit from the comfort of your home for a minimal charge. It is the responsibility of the inmate to communicate when he or she is available for a visit during 8:15 am - 10:30 pm MST. Visits will be limited to 20 minutes at a time

Visitors will go through a metal detector, and may be searched. Visitors are asked to empty their pockets and place jackets, hats, etc in locked locker before entering the jail. No contraband is allowed, including cigarettes and matches.
