[ARCHIVED] Aspen/Pitkin Cares Community Support Fair Coming to Aspen

The Pitkin Economic Services Department is bringing together organizations that offer assistance to families and individuals who find themselves in need of financial, food, medical, mental health, and child care assistance. The “Aspen-Pitkin Cares Community Support Fair” is an opportunity for the public to learn about the many programs available locally for individuals and families. The fair will be held on Thursday, November 2nd from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the Aspen Fire Department, 420 East Hopkins Avenue.


In addition to Pitkin County Economic Services, the following organizations will also be on site to answer questions and provide information regarding their programs: Pitkin County Senior Services, Aspen Family Connections, Kids First, Community Office for Resource Efficiency (CORE), the Aspen Pitkin County Housing Authority (APCHA), Food Bank of the Rockies, Community Health Services, RESPONSE, Connect For Health, Mountain Family Health Centers, Family Visitor Programs, Youth Zone, Raising A Reader, as well as others.


“We understand that life can pose many challenges. This is an opportunity for us to showcase the wide variety of organizations in Pitkin County that are supporting residents of all ages and stages to thrive in our community and connect these residents with resources in a comprehensive and efficient manner.” said Pitkin County Economic Services Manager, Sam Landercasper.  


Participants in the fair will have the opportunity to meet the representatives of these critical community support organizations, make connections with representatives, ask questions, and explore multiple avenues of support. Refreshments will be served.
