Aspen/Pitkin County Airport – On August 4, 2020, barring any unforeseen changes, the Aspen/Pitkin County Airport is expecting a low approach fly over of six C-130 Aircraft in formations of three as part of a military training. The C-130 Hercules is a 4-engine turboprop military transport aircraft and is primarily used in airlift missions for the United States Air Force. The first low approach is expected between the hours of 10:00am - 1:30pm and the second should occur between 2:30pm - 5:30pm. The aircraft will be under Air Traffic Control at all times and will not be landing.
