[ARCHIVED] Trail repairs begin June 1

ASPEN – Paving work to repair segments of the Rio Grande, Brush Creek and Basalt-Old Snowmass trails will begin next week. Detours will be in place to route trail users around the work zones.

Paving repairs on the upper Brush Creek Trail, on the edge of Snowmass Village, are scheduled June 1-5. Trail users will be detoured onto Brush Creek Road.

Work on the Rio Grande Trail between Gerbaz Way and Upper River Road is scheduled June 4-12, with trail users detoured onto Upper River Road while the project is underway.

Repairs to the Basalt-Old Snowmass Trail between Holland Hills and the trail’s junction with the Rio Grande Trail will take place June 11-18. Trail users will be directed to use the Rio Grande Trail to travel between Basalt and Old Snowmass.

Pitkin County Open Space and Trails has contracted with Frontier Paving for the projects.
