Voters who have not yet returned their mail ballots for the November 3rd election are encouraged to hand-deliver them to the Clerk's office, 530 E. Main St., Aspen or the Aspen Jewish Community Center, 435 W. Main St., Aspen. There is concern that ballots sent through the mail at this late date may not arrive at the Clerk's office by the deadline on November 3rd.
Colorado Secretary of State, Wayne Williams sent out an advisory to voters today that hand-delivery between now and the election would ensure that every voter's voice is heard in this election.
Pitkin County Clerk Janice Vos Caudill concurs with Williams that hand delivered ballots from now on is the best way to ensure your vote is counted.
Vos reminds voters that they may also vote in person between now and 7pm on election day at the Aspen Jewish Community Center, 435 West Main St., in Aspen. Hours are 8:30 am to 4:30 pm Monday - Friday; and from 10 am through 2 pm on Saturday, October 31st. Hours are 7am to 7pm on Election Day, November 3rd. For more information go to www.pitkinvotes.org or call the Clerk's office at 920-5180.
