(Aspen, CO) Pitkin County is now accepting nominations for outstanding volunteers to be honored for the 2018 Pitkin County Cares Volunteer Service Awards. Citizens are invited to submit nominations for people who are making a difference in the community.
The Pitkin County Cares Volunteer Service Awards were established 18 years ago to honor individuals and groups for their outstanding service, leadership and civic involvement.
Recipients will be chosen for their service in the following sub-categories: Greg Mace overall volunteer, Children/youth, Seniors, Health, Community Pride, Education, Good Samaritan, Environment, Rising Star (18 years and younger) and Exceptional One-Time Events.
Nominations forms are available at www.pitkincounty.com/pitkincountycares may be submitted via email to pat.bingham@pitkincounty.com or dropped off at the Pitkin County Administration and Sheriff’s Office at 530 E. Main St., Aspen. Call 930-5204 for more information.
Pitkin County Commissioners will recognize those selected for the local awards during a televised regular meeting at a date to be announced.
