Wildfire Resiliency Code

Project Summary
The State of Colorado is requiring all jurisdictions to adopt the Wildfire Resiliency Model Code (see State website here) by April 1, 2026, in Building Codes, requiring Pitkin County text amendments in the Building Code and the Land Use Code. Review the draft Pitkin County Wildfire Intensity Classification Map.

 -Late April/Early May - Wildfire Resiliency Code will be in effect for new applications and permits

Short-Term Rental Impact Study
